RATAFIA

Local aperitif of the Champagne area, it’s a liqueur made of grape juice and alcohol.

To be served very cold for pre-dinner drinks, it also goes well with a starter of melon and its slice of cured ham, or as a “trou champenois” (drink break during a meal) with a scoop of cherry and blackcurrant ice cream, or with a red berry dessert.
